Wearing a belt is essential to me. Finding a belt that might fit me is another matter. I am over the weight limit so to speak. If I think I lost some weight, the belt of truth tells me a different story. The belt is at the center of my wardrobe, but it is hopefully hidden under what I call ‘long shirt’. There are many different kinds of belts. Have you ever thought about that? There are belts for fashion, dress or casual. Waist and cinch belts, skinny or wide, braided or reversible. There are work belts, tool belts, carpenter belts, utility belts. There are tactical belts, duty belts, harness belts, machine belts, conveyer belts. How about martial arts belts with different colors to show your rank or what I call your glory level? We go from glory to glory, and I go from belt to belt. There are seat belts or timing belts in cars. There are leather belts, canvas, nylon, cotton and of course stretch belts or elastic belts. Jethro and Elly May from the Beverly Hillbillies show just used a rope. There are lots of different buckles as well, especially for western wear. So, whether it’s for fashion or function, you need the right belt for comfort, style, support or safety. However, there is only one type of belt for every Christian’s spiritual needs: The Belt of Truth. It is a key piece of your spiritual armor. It might seem insignificant, but the belt of truth is at the center of the armor and holds everything together. You need the truth belt to reach your sword quickly to pierce the enemy. That way we can kick some demon butt and tear down the strongholds of satan in Jesus’ name.

The Bible says to gird up your loins with truth. That means to get ready for action. With the belt of truth fastened around your waist, you will be able to withstand evil and stand firm with truth at the center of your armor. Jesus should be the center of our lives. His Word is truth, and the Spirit of Truth will lead you. Psalm 25:5 says Lead me in thy truth and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation, on thee do I wait all the day.

In today’s world, we hear lots of lies if you listen to regular or cable news. The mainstream media for the most part is correctly called ‘fake news.” Friends don’t let friends watch mainstream media or what some of us call medianites. Don’t get caught in the circle of lies because the devil comes in disguise. That is why we need discernment, and we need to try the spirits. The devil is a liar and the father of lies. Lies are his native tongue. We do not want to speak his language. The Bible says to speak the truth in love. The ones who tell lies do not care about us, but His Word is Truth and Jesus loves us. Truly, truly God loves us. I pray that people will wake up! Stop allowing the enemy to deceive us. Knowing the truth will set you free! We should want to know the truth, and we should love the truth. Because, the Truth is a Person, and His name is JESUS.

By the way, my wife was able to do another testimony about some experiences we had on Declaring Your Destiny Intl with Brandon. If you did not have a chance to view, here is the Link:
