Revelation 19:11 After that I saw heaven opened and behold a white horse (appeared)! The One Who was riding it is called Faithful (trustworthy, loyal, incorruptible, steady) and True, and He passes judgement and wages war in righteousness – holiness, justice and uprightness.
God’s Word is eternal, and He shows His faithfulness to us. We are to trust that God’s commitments endure even if your circumstances change. God is faithful even when we are not. His faithfulness extends to all generations. Jesus is the Faithful Witness as noted in Revelation 1:5 and 3:14. During this study I realized that in Psalm 89:37, it calls the moon the faithful witness in the sky. This is a very interesting parallel. Just as the moon reflects the sun, we should reflect the SON.
Another interesting point to ponder for this study is that we cannot be faithful (the fruit) without having faith (the gift). Our faith connects us to the faithfulness of God. We need faith to live for God, we walk by faith, not by sight. The gift of faith is given to us as the Spirit wills according to the need. This is the supernatural God kind of faith in which you only need faith the size of a grain of the mustard seed. The Fruit of the Spirit Faith needs more cultivation than any other fruit. We need practice. Faithfulness is the aspect of character that shows commitment, dependability, and reliability. The key word or thought is “depend.” Yes, we depend on God, but can He depend on us?
We must also remember to be faithful in the little. So, it starts with small things. Some people might think “this job is too small and not worth my attention. Give me a big or an important job, then I will show you what kind of person that I am.” Correction: You show what kind of person you are more clearly when you take charge of something small and seemingly unimportant. Can God trust you in the little? David tended the sheep faithfully and in obscurity. God saw that and saw his heart. He called David a man after His own heart. A man that loved the sheep and defended them. He rose from shepherd to King of Israel.
Lastly, money. Can God trust you with money? My pastor used to say, “money is funny, and change is strange.” I did not always make the right decisions about money. What do you do with money when no one is looking? If you find a purse or wallet, do you turn it in with the money intact? I heard of a cab driver that found $10,000 in his cab. He turned it in. He said, “it is not my money.” He was rewarded by the owner with a $2000 tip. (No tax on tips, yay!) The acid test on faithfulness is being honest in business and finances. If we want God to promote us, we must learn to be faithful in what the Bible calls unrighteous mammon, (money).

NOTE - On the second slide, one scripture was updated for a correction per the Video discovery - (Proverbs 20:6 vs the formerly noted Genesis 1:31).
Just FYI, we will not have a study for the next two weeks. We are planning to resume on 5/16 and will complete the last two of the fruit of the Spirit in May. Thanks everyone and we hope we see you soon!
