Happy Healthy and Prosperous New Year!

So how did we get here? I just wanted to take a moment to thank the Lord for all He has given and done for us over the past year as well as discuss our vision for the future of Baca Bibleland. Normally, this area will be used by Jerry to recap prior studies (attaching Zoom videos/PowerPoints), give announcements or praise reports, and anything else that the Holy Spirit lays on his heart. But I felt that God wanted me to review a bit about our start and where we are now.

Toward the end of 2023, Jerry graduated with a bachelor’s in theology from Megapraise Ministries. We have both been attending Mike Thompson’s hybrid church in Henderson and we felt it was time to do more. God had called Jerry into the ministry years ago when he was younger, so we are both getting a late start, but better late than never as the saying goes. Hopefully that is encouraging for some of you late bloomers.

He was ordained in 2024, and we decided at the end of that year to start facilitating home Bible Studies at the start of 2025. To do this, I purchased a website. In the beginning, this was just to alert dates/times of each study but not much more, so it was a bit on the clunky side. We began with just foot traffic in our neighborhood but were not getting any fruit. We still believed it was a start and obeyed the Lord to do the studies anyway with just Jerry, myself, and my son, Gabriel Romero (a silent but KEY partner for now). Word of mouth spread at our church and we soon had a few more core participants in home. Later some of our friends and family requested to join, but not everyone could make it, so we added Zoom to the mix along with PowerPoint presentations (I have added an Archive page to the Events section with the series on Gifts of the Spirit if you wish to check it out).

Fast forward to 2026! We recently met up with a friend (Niel Flamm) who I worked with at prior companies. He lives on the east coast but was visiting. Niel has his own site that he uses to help him on his journey after a life-changing health crisis took his leg. He is not affiliated with our ministry, but you are welcome to see his blogs (some are quite amusing) while he records his inspiring story at https://www.nielflamm.com.

I believe God brought him into our lives for a purpose. We believe in a miracle healing for him, but he also helped us this year by generating a new logo, helping us to upload a new song for our ministry that Jerry and I co-wrote, and giving our site a much-needed make-over. I hope all who visit enjoys the new layout, features, and the recent prayer request page that I was able to add a few days ago. We will continue to move forward with the help of the Holy Spirit to equip the saints for revival as our main goal above all is to see souls saved by accepting our precious Lord and Savior into their hearts.
